Alpaca Shearing Time （毛刈り）
Once a year, we shear alpacas for them to be comfortable during the hot summer and also for the use of their fleece. From each alpaca, we crop approximately 5 pounds of fleece, of which we divide Blanket and 2nd portions. Blanket is the portion of side and it is the prime fleece; on the other hand 2nd is the portion of neck and legs.
年一度の毛刈り行事は春先の暖かい頃に行われます。遠くからの友人・近所の人・日本からの友やインベスター、あるいは見知らぬ人等、来れる人は誰でも大歓迎。一日１０頭から１５頭の毛刈り。心地よく毛刈りに汗をかいて、大自然を背景に談話を交わしながら持ち寄りのご馳走をめでる。
アルパカたちが暑い夏を心地よく過ごせる為に毛刈りは行なわれる。その刈り取った毛（２－５ｋｇ）をブランケットとセカンドに仕分けゴミ処理後ミルに出し毛糸とかロービングにしてもらう。そして、我々人間がそのプロダクトを使わせていただく。ありがとう！！！の一言です。
